The wait is NOT over! :)

I thought I better give an update to let you all know what is going on with Baby Norris (and so you wouldn't think we had already had him/her without telling you). Last week at our appointment (almost 39 weeks) the doctor said that I wasn't really making any progress other than the baby dropping a little. However, we had another appointment today and I have made SOME progress. I am officially 50% effaced and a whopping 1 cm dilated. The baby has also dropped some more which is a good sign. We went ahead and made another appointment for next Monday at the clinic and one for the next day, Tuesday, at the hospital. That is when the doctors will run some tests to check if everything is okay and depending on the results they will either keep me overnight (and possibly induce) or make an appointment to induce the following week.

We are getting VERY excited to meet Baby Norris (and especially to find out if it is a boy or a girl). I have to say, though, I still feel just fine, considering, except for the impossible task of sleeping comfortably. I can't believe it is about to be over but I am also ready to begin the next phase and become a mother! Hey, maybe the baby will come on Mother's Day!!

Before our computer problems, I promised I would post some pictures of the baby shower my sisters (mine and Peter's) threw me, so here they are. There are also a few last pregnancy pics that Peter took with his fancy camera (he can make anybody look good). Before you judge too harshly, remember that they were taken at 38 1/2 weeks!
